We Are What We Eat

For your own and your family’s health, buy fresh foods at a farmer’s market or the supermarket and avoid packaged and processed foods such as fast food. Packaged and so-called convenience foods are much higher in sodium and fat content. The best thing you can do for your family’s long-term health is to learn to cook and teach your children to cook. Your diet will include far fewer chemicals, salt, fat, and sugar, and will deliver nutrients and great taste. Many JCCs sponsor farmer’s market and CSAs, and offer cooking classes.
